Espoo Climate Watch for a carbon neutral city

The Climate Watch of the Finnish city of Espoo aims at compiling the city´s climate actions, monitoring the progress and evaluate the impact. The main goal is to become a carbon-neutral city by 2030.

 

The tool is divided into five categories:

  • Energy: the goal is to become a carbon-neutral district heating, increase the use of renewable energy, and improve energy efficiency
  • Transport
  • Land use and construction
  • Circular economy and sustainable choices: the goal is to implement procurements and services in climate-friendly manner and make residents live a sustainable lifestyle.
  • Climate change adaptation
