On the evening of 20 May 2014, the award ceremony of the competition "School 2030 - learning with energy" took place within the framework of the Energy Days in Berlin. The submitted designs by architects, engineers, school owners and design teams were evaluated by a multi-disciplinary jury in terms of architectural design, concepts and technologies. The awarded designs stand out due to ambitious energy concepts and show how schools can be plus energy or zero energy buildings with extremely low energy needs and, at the same time, offer high performance indoor comfort.

Dr. Rodoula Tryfonidou from the Ministry of Economics and Energy gave awards to the planning teams of the 6 different school projects. In addition to the prize money in the total of 100000 Euros, the winners also received a certificate from the ministry.
