COP 15 side event "Joining forces: engaging civil society to combat climate change". Copenhagen, December 18, 2009

At the United Nations Climate Change Conference (Copenhagen, 7-18 December 2009), the Research DG is organising a side event on how to engage civil society in research to fight climate change. Together with representatives from the civil society and from the scientific community, Nicole Dewandre, Head of Unit Sustainable Development of the Research DG will start a discussion on how the European Union can support partnerships between CSOs and researchers, as well as on how CSOs and research organisation can work better and engage citizens to combat climate change. The event is taking place on Friday 18 December from 13.00 to 15.00, in the EU Pavilion of the Bella Center, room Schuman.
