Is your city, company, community or organisation working towards the reduction of energy consumption in an existing or new building? If so, then the LIVING category of the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards is made for you!
The BUILD UP initiative and the EU Sustainable Energy Week Secretariat invite you to submit a project to the LIVING Category of the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards 2013.
The Sustainable Energy Europe Awards, launched by DG ENER in 2006, have become the reference prize for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in Europe. Energy-intelligent buildings will play a vital role in reaching the EU energy and climate objectives as buildings account for 40 % of Europe's energy use and a third of its greenhouse gas emissions. The LIVING category has been designed to reward initiatives —public or private—whose goals are to substantially decrease energy consumption in both new and existing building stocks, CO2 neutral constructions and passive and active houses. Corporate buildings, public facilities and civil society community projects are the type of projects which are eligible for the LIVING category.
If you are keen to share your experience while at the same time raising the profile of your city, organisation or company, we strongly encourage you to participate in the SEE Awards 2013. Your efforts and achievements will receive institutional recognition and free communication leading to well spread visibility and media exposure. Please note that projects from regional and local authorities, including energy agencies, will be automatically considered for the ManagEnergy Local Energy Action Award in addition to the SEE category for which they apply. So, only a single application for two award competitions? It is as good as it sounds!
