Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs (BMWi) amends the market incentive programme “Marktanreizprogramm”- (MAP) for the use of renewable energy in the heat market

In order to increase the renewable energy share of the heating energy used in Germany, the market incentive programme for renewable energy sources for heating was revised, updated and improved. It now includes incentives for building owners, industry and municipalities in respect to solar thermal systems, biomass heating systems, heat pumps, deep geothermal plants and local district heating systems. Financial support can be given in two ways: subsidies for smaller systems and loans, at reduced rates, for bigger systems. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) brought into force the new programme “Marktanreizprogramm” (MAP) on April 1, 2015.
