After the successful competitions of 2007 and 2009, Isover is launching in 15 participating countries across Europe the 2011 Isover Energy Efficiency Awards which confers Europe’s most innovative energy efficient construction and renovation projects. Primary focus is given to renovation projects where architects – and all building professionals – create efficient solutions to save both energy and money while facing complex challenges. To be eligible, projects must use at least one Isover product and must demonstrate substantial energy savings. Renovation projects must divide energy consumption by at least three compared to measurements prior to renovation. Construction projects must achieve the minimum energy requirements for very low energy building standards.
In each country, the best three projects will be selected by a jury. Winning national projects will feature in the “Best Of Book” which aims to promote outstanding European projects in energy efficiency design for a better sharing of knowledge and practices between all building partners.
This competition is a natural outgrowth of two environmental issues that are part of Isover’s preoccupations—protection of the external environment in the face of climate change and enhancing the quality and physical comfort of the interior environment.
