Microsoft offers free online tool 'Hohm' to measure US homes' energy efficiency

Share this Post:
A Hohm Score is a number from 0 to 100 (higher is better) measuring a home's energy efficiency based on home structure and the estimated energy use. It can change over time based on the improvements to the home. Until one joins Hohm, it's an estimate; it will become more accurate after signing up and entering details about the specific home. Hohm scores can be used to compare a home's efficiency to other homes in the neighborhood, or see how one compares to family and friends who are using Hohm.
