2015 List of Zero Energy Buildings

Share this Post:

The 2015 List of Zero Energy Buildings, published by the New Buildings Institute (NBI), is part of NBI's ongoing work aiming to identify and document buildings with low and zero energy in the United States of America.

The list contains two types of buildings:

1) Verified Zero Energy Buildings

These are buildings with greatly reduced energy loads that have been documented to have met, over the course of a year, all net energy use through on-site renewable sources.

2) Emerging Zero Energy Buildings

These are buildings with a publically stated goal of ZNE, which do not yet meet the definition of Zero Net Energy (ZNE).
