Calculated and measured energy use before and after thermal renovation for Romanian apartment buildings

The objective of the article is to analyse the energy use for space heating and production of the domestic hot water (DHW) before and after the thermal refurbishment of five blocks of flats in Timisoara, Romania which have been included in the multi-annual National Program, financed in 2009, to increase of the energy performance of blocks of flats. In addition we estimate the factors that lead to the differences between the calculated and measured energy use, and recommend some energy saving measures for the future.
