Décret n° 2013-979 du 30 octobre 2013 relatif aux études de faisabilité des approvisionnements en énergie des bâtiments nouveaux

According to the EPBD recast (Directive 2010/31/EU), this French Order extends the mandatory feasibility study of various energy supply solutions to buildings between 50 and 1000 square meters.

This feasability study must be operated prior to filing an application for a building permit by the owner, in order to promote installation of efficient equipment and use of renewable energy sources.

New buildings and new parts of existing buildings may be exempt from this requirement if the corresponding building energy regulation imposes the use of renewable energy sources.

This Order came into force on 1 January 2014.
