School of the Future retrofit guideline "Improved indoor environmental quality"

The 7th Framework Programme (FP7) project “School of the Future” ( published a retrofit guideline with a focus on improved indoor environmental quality.

The guideline deals with thermal indoor climate, indoor air quality, lighting conditions, acoustics and noise protection. It explains the requirements regarding the indoor environment and presents strategies to improve the indoor thermal comfort and is accompanied by photos of specific realisations in the 4 "School of the Future" demonstration buildings as well as other school buildings. Further planned retrofit guidelines in the project will be written on building construction elements, building service systems and solution sets for zero energy/emission schools.
