The SERVE (Sustainable Energy in a Rural Village Environment) project is now entering its 5th and final year. One of the focal points after having completed the retrofitting work is to monitor the results and to analyse the Socio-economic impacts of the project. The socio-economic analysis aspect of the project focused on the conducting a total of 12 case studies with homeowners (6) and contractors (6) to gather their views of the SERVE project. There will be later on an analysis of job creation and economic impacts in relation to the retrofitting and biomass heating projects. These case studies and the latest news from the SERVE project are featured in this issue of the newsletter.
