Zonal method for radiant heating design in large space buildings

Share this Post:
This article describes the zonal design of radiant heating systems in large space buildings (e.g. industrial halls). It presents the history of such an approach and the standard approach - i.e. uniform distribution of heating surfaces in a large space. The zonal approach uses uneven distribution of heating surfaces, so that each thermal zone of a large space gets a sufficient heat flow. The article also discusses how a space should be divided into thermal zones.
