The World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) is delighted to announce its World Green Building Week 2018 campaign has been shortlisted for the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards 2019.

The #HomeGreenHome campaign which reached an estimated 155 million people worldwide in September 2018 is a finalist in the Environmental Awareness Campaign of the Year category.

Taking place in the last week of September each year, World Green Building Week is an annual campaign designed to raise awareness of green building. With buildings and construction responsible for approximately 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions, green building is a vital part of the solution to climate change. In 2018, the campaign was focused on green homes with a call to action for everyone, everywhere to commit to making the homes they build, lease or live in greener and more sustainable.

World Green Building Week is organised by WorldGBC and led by its member Green Building Councils, their 37,000 members, and WorldGBC Partners.

Now in its ninth year, the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards celebrate businesses, NGOs, public sector bodies and individuals across 25 different categories and are rigorously judged by a panel of sustainability professionals and green economy leaders. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 26 June in London, UK.
