AIVC Workshop | Towards higher-performing buildings: The role of airtightness and ventilation
The objective of this workshop is to discuss and identify ways to improve the quality of our homes with respect to airtightness and ventilation, as well as discussing the impact suboptimal performance has on energy consumption and health of the occupants. Also of interest are the impacts of mandatory airtightness targets and how best to implement these, if at all.

Fiji issues first developing country sovereign green bond of $50 million for climate resilience
Fiji has become the first emerging market to issue a sovereign green bond after it raised 100 million Fijian dollars to finance climate mitigation and adaptation projects. At the request of Fiji’s Reserve Bank, the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) provided technical assistance to support the Government in issuing their first sovereign green bond.

The EPB Center (energy performance of a building - EPB) is focused on the international harmonized set of EPB assessment methods and their implementation at national and regional levels. The Center is dedicated to provide stakeholders and interested parties with technical support for the implementation and dissemination of information on the set of EPB standards at national and regional level.
While providing this support the Center will also aim to assist with formulating needs in order to further develop and improve this set of EPB standards.

On 7-8 July, European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker met with other Group of Twenty (G20) leaders for a summit in Hamburg, Germany. This was the first such global meeting following the announcement by the US Administration of its intention to withdraw from the Paris Agreement on climate change.
