Ten Priorities for the next European Commission to meet the EU’s 2030 targets and accelerate towards 2050
This report is on the fact that in 2018, the EU has decided upon a climate and energy framework up to 2030, involving clean, affordable and reliable energy system in Europe.
To that end, greenhouse gas emissions are to decline by at least 40 percent below 1990 levels, renewables are to deliver 32 percent of our energy and efficiency is to improve by even 32.5 percent.

The HEART toolkit incorporates different components and technologies, which cooperate to transform an existing building into a smart building.
In developing this toolkit, the project advances and improves energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies in buildings across Europe. Particularly in Central and Southern Europe where climate change is leading to increased electricity consumption both during summer and winter seasons.

Codema is Dublin’s Energy Agency and was set up as a not-for-profit limited company by Dublin City Council in 1997 under the SAVE II Programme of the European Union. It was one of 14 local energy agencies set up around Ireland to help local authorities meet their energy performance targets through professional development and implementation of good and best practice. They work with Dublin City Council, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Fingal County Council and South Dublin County Council.

To limit global warming to below 1.5˚C, net global anthropogenic carbon emissions must reach net zero by around 2040. This task in isolation is both daunting and challenging. However, broader concerns burden national responses to this crisis due to fears of supply disruption, economic instability and the need for greater energy security. New rules making the EU's electricity market fit for the future and putting the consumer at the centre of the energy transition have been signed off by the European Parliament on 26 March; it is an important step in enabling the European Union and its Member States to embrace the clean energy transition, follow up on the already adopted 2030 climate legislation and meet the Paris Agreement commitments.
