The NeZeR project promotes the implementation and smart integration of Nearly Zero Energy Building Renovation (NZEBR) measures and the deployment of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in the European renovation market. NeZeR also aims to secure the impact of the project activities and results during and beyond its duration. This will be facilitated by creating national clusters consisting of the most relevant stakeholders that can secure the long term implementation of Nearly Zero Energy Building Renovation (NZEBR) and utilization of Renewable Energy Sources (RES).

Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) is a market based instrument for the implementation of energy efficiency in buildings. It is a contractual arrangement between a beneficiary (e.g. building owner or occupier) and a provider (usually an Energy Service Company (ESCO)) to improve a building's energy efficiency.
