Call for papers - CLIMAMED 2020 - Lisboa

The Climamed congress is nowadays integrated in the 3 years cycle of REHVA related conferences (Clima, Climamed and Cold Climate) and is under the responsibility of a set of five HVAC associations of Southern Europe countries, that assure the membership of the respective countries in REHVA: AICARR (Associazione Italiana di Condizionamento dell'Aria, Riscaldamento e Refrigerazione), from Italy; AICVF (Association des Ingénieurs en Climatique, Ventilation et Froid), from France; ATECYR (Asociación Técnica Española de Climatización y Refrigeración), from Spain; OE (Ordem dos Engenheiros), from Portugal; and TTMD (Türk Tesisat Mühendisleri Dernegi, Turkish Society of HVAC and Sanitary Engineers), from Turkey.

Climamed 2020 will be hosted by Ordem dos Engenheiros, and will have as its motto “Towards Climate-Neutral Mediterranean Buildings and Cities”, intending to represent a meaningful contribution to the solution of the problems posed to humanity by Climate Changes. Papers related to the various topics that are related to the challenge of providing well-being to people in buildings in a sustainable way and in a scenario where resilience and adaptation will surely be required are very much welcome to the congress.


Inclusiveness will also be a major aim of the Congress organizers, which means that there is a desire and openness for participants to expand their geographical area of origin to other Mediterranean countries or to other parts of the globe with similar climates.




The Organizing Committee of CLIMAMED ‘2020 is issuing the “Call for papers” for the Congress that will be held on the 17th to the 19th of May, 2020 in Lisbon.

All authors who would like to participate are invited to present papers on one or more of the topics to be discussed at the Congress.


The deadline for the submission of abstracts is the 22nd of January 2019. Each abstract will be evaluated by the local Scientific Committee and approved by the International Committee for presentation by 05 February 2020. Accepted papers will be due by 05th March 2020. The date for the notification of the acceptance of final papers is the 15th of March 2020.

Registration fee included: Entrance to the scientific meetings, Lunches, Coffee Breaks, Welcome Cocktail, Gala Dinner, Conference badge and bag, certificate and abstract book.


Accompanying person fee included: Full Day city tour with lunch.


Students registration fee do not include the Gala Dinner. Student must submit the official document attesting to student’s status from the chairperson of their department by fax.


Please note that accompanying persons will NOT be able to join the scientific sessions. Attendees who wish to join the scientific sessions should fill out one form each.
