To support the professional execution of nearly zero-energy buildings new pilot “Train the Trainer” courses were implemented in Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands and Slovakia for flat roofer, ventilation installer and building inspection.

FinEERGo-Dom is an ambitious 4-year project led by a consortium of experienced partners from seven (7) countries – KAPE (Poland), National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (Poland), ESEB (Latvia), Econoler (Bulgaria), Austrian Energy Agency (Austria), Funding for Future (Netherlands), Mattig Management Partners (Slovakia and Romania) and Stage AI (Bulgaria).

The project is restoring what was once known as one of the most magnificent Writer’s Palaces in Europe, a unique example of national romanticism in Latvia. A total budget of over EUR 5 million has been made available for the work, of which the ERDF is contributing more than EUR 1.3 million.

This Deliverable has been prepared under Work Package 2 (Formulating recommendations on national energy policy priorities for 2050 and fostering multi – level cooperation and governance). It provides information about national long-term energy and climate policy priorities, indicates bottom-up recommendations on targets, priorities and actions for 2050 and sets recommendations for multi - level governance improvements in each project country.

In 21 case studies, the EUKI project BEACON evaluated national climate policies in European countries. The Latvian Baltic Energy Efficiency Facility (LABEEF) is a company that was founded in 2016 to facilitate the deep renovation of the Latvian housing sector, which is dominated by prefabricated high-rise buildings erected between 1941 and 1992 during era of Soviet occupation.

The first release of the THERMOS tool has been developed within the EU H2020 project THERMOS (October 2016 – June 2020). It is a free, open-source software that offers local authorities address-level data for the optimised expansion of an existing system, the planning of an entirely new system, or assessing the performance of specific networks or non-networked solutions via direct comparison.
