Understanding end-user perspectives is crucial for the development and roll-out of new features for energy performance certificates (EPCs).   Without a full insight into what end- users want and need for the next generation of EPCs it will be difficult to make effective use of these new features.

Concept:   Greening investments is a top priority for the EU, which requires financial advisers to consider the environmental objectives of their clients and beneficiaries.   However, energy efficiency (EE) and sustainable energy (SE) investments face a finance gap. The EU-funded LEVEL EEI project will make these EE and SE products more competitive. It will conduct behavioural science field experiments to assess end users’ demands for environmental products.

Concept:   One of the principal challenges to increasing energy efficiency investments (EEI) is the lack of statistical data on the actual energy and costs savings achieved with them. Data is still hard to access because it is decentralized and in different formats.   Consequently, only a small part of this can be used to produce reliable empirical evidence on the performance of the EEI.

Concept:   The ultimate goal of the REFINE-project is to contribute to the supply of sufficient and attractive financing sources for investments into energy savings and related measures.   This will be achieved through enhancement and mainstreaming of refinancing schemes for energy efficiency services (EES) which are understood as important amplifier of market growth.
