This tool has been eveloped within the H2020 project EnerGAware with the scope of decreasing energy consumption and emissions to increase the affordable housing tenants’ understanding and engagement in energy efficiency.   To cope the issue, the project developed serious game, the Energy Cat Game, where the player will take the role of a cat who dreams about living in the house of tomorrow : a house both energy efficient and comfortable.

Low-temperature district heating and cooling are setting the way towards decarbonising our cities. To this aim, 5GDHC by delivering low-temperature heat and cold to connected homes in a circular way, is a promising way to decarbonize our cities.   GreenFlex, with the help of all D2Grids project partners, is launching a platform to inform project developers, industries and investors who wish to uptake this heating and cooling technology and inspire new 5GDHC projects.

“I would like to build more sustainably, but the costs…”: The fear of additional costs due to sustainability often leads to doubts and hesitations during planning and implementation. A new study from Denmark now shows with regard to new building construction that this is unfounded.   Here it becomes clear: more sustainable does not equal more expensive. On the contrary. “Sustainable is (more) expensive”: a prejudice that has accompanied sustainable building since its beginnings.

Monday 30 November 2020, 10:30-11:45 CET   Air infiltration in buildings has multiple consequences on energy use and indoor environmental quality which depend on the location and distribution of leakages. Among others, pollutant infiltration and air draft are highly affected by leakage distribution. In current practice, leakage detection is frequently performed together with an airtightness test.

N° EASME/2019/OP/0007, entitled STUDY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN EU FRAMEWORK FOR BUILDINGS' DIGITAL LOGBOOK (“B-LOG”), running from 13 December 2019 to 12 December 2020.   A digital building logbook is a common repository for all relevant building data. It facilitates transparency, trust, informed decision making and information sharing within the construction sector, among building owners and occupants, financial institutions, and public authorities.
