In Russia there is a big potential for improving the energy efficiency in the buildings, in the transport sector and in the industrial sector. According to statements of the Russian Government, the aim is to save about 40 percent of the Russian energy consumption by 2020 by using more efficient technology. rudea shall contribute to increase the energy modernisation of Russia under cooperation with German technology organisations.

Ziel der IG Passivhaus Österreich ist es gemäß den sehr ambitionierten Vorgaben des Europäischen Parlaments den Passivhausstandard bis 2011 in Österreich als erstes Land Europas als allgemeinen Standard zu etablieren. So kann der Österreichischen Bevölkerung ein wesentlicher Beitrag zur Versorgungssicherheit und Bewahrung vor Energiepreisschocks gegeben, und ein Höchstmaß an Klimaschutz erzielt werden.

Entitled “IGCC: Safe and Sustainable By the Book,” the initiative is committed to develop a model code focused on new and existing commercial buildings. It will focus on building design and performance. The Code Council’s development timeline will include public meetings of the Sustainable Building Technology Committee (SBTC), a public comment period on the Committee’s initial draft, and a final draft that will be made available in 2010 as a resource document before it moves through the development hearing and final action hearing stages.

The project and the central part of the evaluation of energy efficiency and energy savings potentials at the demand side is based on the bottom-up MURE simulation tool. The tool is structured into the following modules: residential sector buildings, residential electric appliances, transport sector, industrial sector processes, industrial sector electric cross-cutting technologies, service sector buildings, service sector electric appliances, IT appliances, demand side CHP.
