While BIM has mainly been applied on new buildings, the BIM4Ren project investigates its use and potential in renovation projects, through easy-to-use tools, to achieve the EU energy targets for the European building stock. European Union EU has an important challenge in trying to reach the energy efficiency objectives established for 2030 which plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, to significant increase energy production from renewables and to improve energy efficiency. The European Commission (EC) urges the Member States to intensify their current efforts to ensure the collective achievement of these objectives, focusing in particular on buildings sector that has a significant potential for energy saving.

Bus.Trainers is a European project which aims to develop competencies in energy efficiency and renewable energy systems for trainers of the construction industry, with the aim of transferring these new skills to workers and future workers employees of the sector. This initiative, which involves eleven partners from Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Malta, belongs to the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union.   Purpose
