The IRCOW project on "Innovative Strategies for High-Grade Material Recovery from Construction and Demolition Waste" organises a Workshop on ""Unlocking the resource potential of Construction and Demolition Waste: Is reuse an alternative for construction now or in the future?", which will be held parallely during BUDMA 2012 Fairs.

Since the role of the sustainability concept in the construction sector has gained a priority importance in recent years, two questions arise:
- To what extent the reuse option may contribute to sustainability in construction sector?
- Is this alternative is a solution for now or for the future?
The aim of this workshop is to provide a unique opportunity to present and discuss the results of the studies carried out within an EU FP7 funded project “ Innovative strategies for high grade material recovery from construction and demolition waste” - IRCOW ( for details see www.ircow.eu). Another aim is to gather feedback from the participants concerning the issues related to the reuse of materials and elements of C&DW.
