This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 753994.
BIMEET (BIM-based EU -wide Standardized Qualification Framework for achieving Energy Efficiency) project aims to leverage the take-up of ICT and BIM through a significant upgrade of the skills and capacities of the EU construction workforce.
BIMEET will develop skills matrices related to BIM and energy-efficiency. The description of skills will be given in the form of the European Qualifications Framework. BIMEET will also develop a training platform which will support registering labelled training offering and finding suitable BIM training in different levels of Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector.
In order to bring about the transformation in our built environment as spelled out in the vision for Horizon 2020 and set the sector firmly on a path towards competitiveness and sustainable growth, the European Commission's modern industrial policy recognizes the strategic importance of the construction industry.
BIMEET aims to broaden the BIM training agenda to support the European union building energy efficiency agenda. This requires broad awareness and expertise in BIM practice across different asset types and across different roles in the industry.
