Gico Group, a French specialist of wood frame buildings, launched on the French market a series of low cost one-family passive houses. They are intended to be built by municipalities in green areas. The primary energy consumption is announced to be lower than 40 kWh/m2/year, with heating needs below 15 kWh/m2/year. The houses are equipped with balanced ventilation systems with heat recovery, thermal solar domestic hot water production and a gas condensing boiler. The cost is 100 000 €.
