The IEE MOVIDA project developed a tool for automatic generation of advice to end users, from the compilation of a check list of heating and cooling systems during inspections. The tool, derived from the Dutch "Installation Performance Scan", was in-field tested in seven EU countries. It is possible to have an added value from the EPBD inspections, which may go beyond the control of compliance and become a potential source of energy efficiency measures.

WHAT will ee-WISE do?ee-WiSE will address the current problems of the Energy Efficiency (EE) Sector and promote the EE Market focusing on building retrofitting in the Mediterranean countries. In order to achieve this, ee-WiSE will develop a Knowledge Transfer Framework, for the agents of the sector’s value chain, which will provide tools to solve knowledge transfer breakpoints. Agents will be connected in the Framework with best practices and recommendations that will promote the EE Market through the retrofitting sector enlargement under a common perspective.

This report summarises the work carried out during the first year of the Concerted Action for the Energy Services Directive II (CA ESD) on informing and advising final consumers (citizens and small and medium enterprises). Information and communication is essential in order to fulfil the obligations of the ESD. However, it is difficult to inform and advice the target groups in ways that are understood by the final consumers. Energy efficiency in itself is not always of highest interest among them.

This report summarises the findings within the Concerted Action (CA) of Member States’ experiences in writing the 2nd National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) and its role in the policy process in different countries, covering both successes and challenges. Regardless of their specific role in different countries NEEAPs play an important role in all Member States. In general NEEAPs raised the profile of energy efficiency in Member States and provided an impetus for increased cooperation between authorities.
