The building is an office of the company Thales Communications & Security in Bordeaux Mérignac completed in 2017. Designed by the architect Jean-Philippe Le Covec to improve the performance and well-being of its occupants, the campus is composed by nine buildings in the heart of a landscaped park. The architect imagined at the entrance of the site, an entire building dedicated to the reception and services with a restaurant, a business center, a space dedicated to the works council, a conciergerie , a showroom and many meeting rooms.

New report from BPIE – the Buildings Performance Institute Europe - highlights that more than half of EU Member States are six months late to submit their national Long-Term Renovation Strategies (LTRS), a key element of Europe’s strategy to decarbonise the building stock. Of those submitted only one is fully compliant with EU legislation.

The project belongs to a larger urban intervention with the new Grand Parc in Bordeaux, with green area and public spaces, and it occupies a central place in redefining the neighbourhood. It also has an identity vocation because it constitutes a visual catch from the perspective created by the plot where it is located. The volume, simple but slightly decomposed, expresses the public and private use of the building and highlights a forecourt that opens on the urban project of the Grand Parc.
