Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, the mission of the START2ACT project is to support young SMEs and startups to save energy and cut costs at their workplace. To fulfill this mission, we are offering free-of-charge mentoring and training activities in nine European countries:
Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and United Kingdom.

The Report “The iBRoad Concept in practice” aims to elaborate on the concept and benefits of the Individual Building Renovation Roadmap, giving an overview of the potential services to be provided by the relevant software itself, as well as of the potential links with other tools or services available on the market, and present the ones that are to be actually implemented and tested under the iBRoad project.

On 13th November European Parliament completed the parliamentary approval of half of the eight legislative proposals in the 2016 Clean Energy for All Europeans package, following the Energy Performance in Buildings Directive, which came into force on 9 July.

CEPPI – Coordinated energy-related PPIs actions for cities – aims to build capacity in cities on how to achieve more sustainable energy solutions through a pro-innovation procurement approach. The five cities involved in this project - Birmingham (UK), Budapest (Hungary), Castelló & Valencia (Spain) and Wrocław (Poland) – will intervene in scheduled public tenders to achieve a more sustainable energy outcome. The objective is to save at least 33GWh/year. The project will also help to develop the capacity of public authorities.

New technological methods for increasing quality and quantity of recovered construction & demolition waste, promoting the consideration of end-of-life management of buildings and building components at their design stage, and enhancing awareness of the impact construction materials and debris have on health and the environment, will be presented during the final conference of HISER.

The engagement of stakeholders during the development process of the iBRoad project is considered of high value since the beginning. Following the stakeholders’ mapping procedure, a process that included the identification, the analysis, the visualisation and the prioritisation steps for each stakeholder, namely the levels of expertise, influence, involvement necessity and interest to the project, the first round of physical meetings took place during February and March 2018 in 8 countries.

The iBRoad project video has been completed with shots in Berlin and Athens, describing what is the building logbook (iBroad-Log) and the individual building renovation roadmap (iBRoad-Plan), and how they will enable a building’s deep renovation.
The video answers relevant questions by interviewing some of the key experts from the iBRoad consortium.
There is both a short (3’34’’) and a long (14’12”) version of the video available with subtitles in 10 languages (Εnglish, Greek, French, German, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Romanian).
