The Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) has been established by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic as a professional state subsidy organisation which makes an important contribution in the achievement of governmental energy policy objectives, principally by promoting energy efficiency, new energy technologies and renewables.    Among the many tasks that SIEA performs is the provision of professional competence for energy auditors, boiler inspectors and air-conditioning system inspectors.

This scheme is now closed.   The Municipal Finance Facility – Energy Efficiency (MunSEFF) is an initiative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Commission (EC) to develop and stimulate commercial bank financing to municipalities and their utility companies in Slovakia. The programme aims at stimulating implementation of energy efficient rehabilitation of municipal infrastructure.

Investor Confidence Project (ICP) Europe is developing a suite of building energy renovation roadmaps - Energy Performance Protocols - that aim to reduce transaction costs by assembling existing standards and practices into a consistent and transparent process. These tools then enable a marketplace for building owners, project developers, utilities, public programmes and investors to trade in standardised energy efficiency projects.
