The building, designed by Ruben Muedra and developed by IDAI NATURE as their new headquarters, won the BUILD Sustainable Building "Excellence Award for Sustainable Architectural Design".   It has been completed in 2018 and it is located in the town of La Pobla de Vallbona in Valencia,where the main challenge was to meet the limiting cooling demands required for Passivhaus certification, in a warm climate and in a high internal gain building.

Concept:   The project has developed a training toolkit for property valuation professionals on how to factor energy efficiency and renewable energy issues into valuation practices, understand the impact of building performance and property values and advise their clients accordingly.   Empirical studies consistently show that within several markets around the globe property pricing differs between buildings with “green features” and buildings without them.

In its vision 2050 prospective document, the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling – RHC ETIP – envisions that 100% renewable energy-based heating and cooling (100% RHC) in Europe is possible by 2050.

The European Commission has established a new EU financing mechanism to support renewable energy projects, as foreseen under Article 33 of the Governance Regulation (EU) 2018/1999 of the Clean Energy for all European package. It becomes operational from January 2021.   The main objective is to enable Member States to work more closely together to achieve their individual and collective renewable energy targets, covering gaps that may have been identified.
