AI is changing the way we work, live and solve challenges. It could be most valuable as a range of applications helping humanity fight our biggest threat - climate change. AI can strengthen climate predictions, enable smarter decision-making for decarbonising industries from building to transport, and work out how to allocate renewable energy.   It is part of a wider ethics debate in the EU about how to use AI for the benefit of human beings, the challenges that the technology poses and how best to tackle them.

Dal 2011 al 2018 i risparmi energetici ottenuti grazie a misure di efficienza energetica sono stati pari a 10,4 Mtep/anno di energia finale, pari al il 67% dell’obiettivo al 2020 previsto dal Piano d’Azione Nazionale per l'Efficienza Energetica (PAEE) e dalla Strategia Energetica Nazionale (SEN).

The grants are part of a EUR 100,000 project funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) under a Memorandum of Understanding signed in July with the Secretariat for Energy, Construction, and Transportation of the provincial government.   Vojvodina Deputy Prime Minister Đorđe Milićević said the grants mark the beginning of years-long effort to conduct energy efficiency audits at all 3,000 public buildings in Vojvodina.

Concept   ASSIST (Support Network for Household Energy Saving) is an European project funded by the European Commission under the H2020 programme.   Its aim is to fight energy poverty by actively engaging consumers in the energy market, generating a positive change of behaviour in relation to energy consumption and to influence the design of energy poverty-oriented policies.

CoME EASY’s overall objective is to promote, facilitate and extend the engagement of local public authorities in setting up and implementing sustainable and effective energy efficiency and climate action plans according to EU targets by applying a combination of synergistic supportive tools and initiatives. The CoME EASY project will provide municipalities with supporting tools for developing, monitoring and achieving their goals on energy and climate policy.

The overarching ambition of the ALDREN initiative is to consolidate, promote and implement an extended harmonized procedure, based on the European Common Voluntary Certification Scheme for non-residential buildings (EVCS) and a set of relevant instruments, in order to support building deep renovation operations, all along the process, tackling its organizational, financial and technical components issues. In line with the development of the EVCS, the primary scope is focused on non-residential buildings (especially offices and hotels).
