The International Energy Agency-IEA’s newly-enhanced Tracking Clean Energy Progress provides a comprehensive and rigorous assessment of a full range of energy technologies and sectors that are critical in a global clean-energy transition. It includes the most up-to-date information for where technologies are today and where they need to be according to the IEA’s Sustainable Development Scenario, a pathway to reach the Paris Agreement well below 2°C climate goal, deliver universal energy access and significantly lower air pollution.

“With the knowledge database, we make available valuable expertise and numerous publications, which we produced in cooperation with national and international partners in more than two decades. It merges the results of the three EU funded SDH projects SDHtake-off, SDHplus and SDHp2m as well as several national projects,” says Thomas Pauschinger from the Steinbeis Research Institute Solites, coordinator of the SDHp2m project.

Climate.OneBuilding.Org is e repository of free climate data for building performance simulation.
The website contains typical, single-year climate data files in EPW format from many publicly available data sets from around the world. The weather data on the site are derived from a number of public sources.

The COMBI project aimed at quantifying the multiple non-energy benefits of energy efficiency in the EU-28 area. It gathered existing approaches and evidence from the EU area and developed modelling approaches. EU energy statistical pocketbook (2018 version) provides energy statistics for all EU countries and the EU as a whole, covering areas including energy production and consumption, socio-economic indicators, and the impact of the energy sector on the environment. You can also find an energy profile for each EU country as well as details of each country's progress towards the EU's 2020 climate and energy targets.

The INSPIRE Geoportal makes it easier to discover, monitor and directly use geospatial data sets relevant for specific application areas, in particular European environmental policy. The new Geoportal provides overviews of the availability of INSPIRE data sets by country and thematic area, and makes the data available and ready-for-use in a range of applications.
The Geoportal is based on the metadata regularly harvested from the (currently 36) officially registered national data catalogues of EU Member States and EFTA countries.

From the 25th of May 2018, the most important change in European data privacy regulation, in two decades, comes into force.
The EU General Data Protection Regulation aims to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches. Although the key principles of data privacy still hold true, data collectors will have to abide by new rules such as: clear consent requests, timely breach notifications, the right to be forgotten, privacy by design, to just name a few.

The Energy Efficiency Indicators database contains annual data from 2000 to 2015, covering end use energy consumption for 8 energy products, end use energy efficiency indicators, and carbon intensity indicators for 4 sectors (residential, services, industry and transport) for the IEA member countries. The indicators are computed by using key sectorial activity data, for example, passenger kilometre energy intensity by mode/vehicle type (MJ/pkm).
