The Austrian Energy Agency received the ISO 29990:2010 certificate for their training activities in the sectors energy efficiency, renewable energies and new technologies. The certificate was received for the introduced quality management in the area of education and further education. Demand for commissioning (Cx) is steadily increasing and a Navigant report showed that nearly 70 per cent of respondents identified green building certifications as a driver of Cx demand.   Fundamental Cx is mandatory fo LEED certification while enhanced commissioning brings in two additional credits resulting in a better rating.

On 15 June 2016, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) announced that three ASHRAE certifications have received accreditation from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), joining the High Performance Building Design Professional (HBDP) certification that was accredited last year.
