Here is a brief summary of what some of the projects presented:Pebble Project:   Visitors were able to interact with a scale-model of a neighbourhood (buildings and homes) equipped with real sensors and actuators, an interactive game guided visitors to make control decisions in order to save energy.SMARTCODE Project:  There was a house represented by its real devices (e.g. a washing machine and a refrigerator) connected via LED stripes to illustrate the flow of energy.

Grassroots campaign reflects broad consumer support for clean, cheap energy.The events, which will take place in hundreds of locations from Tuesday, 1st May to Sunday, 13th May, have been designed to help audiences including European policy makers and companies, but particularly individual citizens, to understand the benefits that available solar technology offers them today.  Events include exhibitions of solar technologies, open door days, trainings for company staff, street festivities for children, “balloon dropping” and many more.

The Passive-On project examined how to take the Passive House concept forward, especially in Southern Europe. In these regions the problem of household energy use is one not only one of providing warm houses in winter but also, and in some cases more importantly, of providing cool houses in summer.
