On 9th – 11th June 2020, Gothenburg will host the next edition of the World Sustainable Built Environment conference (WSBE 2020), called BEYOND 2020. The conference is organised by Chalmers University of Technology and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, with the support of Johanneberg Science Park and Gothenburg City.

After having reduced their energy consumption by 12% between 2004 and 2015, the RATP renewed its engagement to reduce energy consumption by obtaining the ISO 50001 certification in 2017, setting a new objective of -20% between 2015-2025.

SSPCR 2019 aims to answer the question on how can we maximize the impact of academic research, the scaling-up and replicability opportunities of pilot projects, and the added value of local bottom-up initiatives, in relation to complex challenges posed by the smart city/region approach?   Therefore, building projects that wish to put their work in a larger (urban or regional scale) will find in this conference the right audience.

Concept   The DGNB – German Sustainable Building Council was founded in 2007 by 16 initiators from a variety of specialist backgrounds in the construction and property industry who wanted to do more to promote sustainable building in the future.   A registered association, the DGNB currently has around 1,200 members throughout the world.
