Dublin City Council awarded its first Energy Performance Contract (EPC) project to Noel Lawler Green Energy Solutions in July 2016, working closely with Dublin’s Energy Agency Codema in procuring this contract to upgrade three of its Sports and Fitness Facilities. The project was supported under the SEAI National Energy Services Framework, as well as the European project EESI2020, co-funded under H2020.

The region of Navarra is building over 500 nearly zero-energy building (NZEB) units to provide affordable and energy efficient homes for their citizens.
Nearly zero-energy buildings have very low energy consumption due to their design and the materials used in their construction and reduce energy consumption by 75% compared to standard buildings. The project will also contribute towards social integration and urban regeneration through the provision of affordable rental housing.

The Green for Growth Fund (GGF), which was initiated as a public-private partnership in December 2009 by German development bank KfW and the European Investment Bank (EIB), surpassed major milestones in 2017, increasing the total financing it has provided to final borrowers to over EUR 600 million across more than 25,000 individual projects.

The CoolHeating project goal is to support the development of the market for small modular renewable heating and cooling systems in cities and municipalities of South-East Europe (SEE). This goal will be achieved through the transfer of knowledge and joint activities of partners from countries with good practice examples (Austria, Denmark, and Germany) and countries with modest development in this sector (Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia).

Around 461 million ton/year of C&DW are generated in EU28. Recent studies on the characterization of C&DW samples at European level revealed a predominant fraction of concrete (52% average). Over the last years, novel technology has been developed aiming to guarantee high quality recycled concrete aggregates for use in new concrete, thereby closing the concrete loop.
