Con ese enfoque, el V Congreso Edificios Energía Casi Nula aborda los aspectos clave de los Edificios de Consumo de Energía Casi Nulo en España desde un punto de vista integral y multidisciplinar.

As building envelopes and mechanical and electrical equipment become more efficient, the impact of occupants on building energy increases.   Meanwhile trends in teleworking, co-working, and home-sharing mean vastly different occupancy than the standard occupancy schedules.   Finally, global expectations for comfort are increasing, while a variety of new technologies may or may not succeed in meeting this demand.

The increasing integration of decentralized electricity production from renewable energy sources is often suggested as a key technology striving towards a sustainable energy system, mitigating fuel poverty and climate change. In many countries, the growing share of renewable energy sources (RES) goes in parallel with the extensive electrification of demand, e.g. replacement of traditional cars with electrical vehicles or displacement of fossil fuel heating systems, such as gas or oil boilers, with energy efficient heat pump.

Position paper Annex 67 Annex 67 “Energy Flexible Buildings”, is a collaborative project supported by the Energy in Buildings and Communities program of the International Energy Agency. It aims to find a common definition, assessment methodology and to evaluate the flexibility potential of different building typologies and case studies in order to provide a common framework for the future implementation of energy flexibility in buildings.

In the framework of the PV-ESTIA project, the performance of the proposed PV+storage Innovative Management Scheme will be evaluated under real-field conditions. Pilot installations will be selected with the aim to examine if and how the size of the Energy Storage Systems and the different geographical conditions affect the performance of the innovative management scheme. Energy use in European buildings is still around 40 % of the total final energy use. Decarbonisation of power and heat are high on the agenda of EU Member States. Present initiatives by governments for a proper energy transition are based on reducing energy use, increased use of renewable energy resources and making the energy infrastructure more intelligent (SRI as mentioned in the EPBD).
