October will see the start of the first LEED Lab in Spain, the leading course on sustainable construction developed by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) in accordance with LEED certification requirements.
The course’s first edition in Spain is organised by everis Group, which was officially approved by the USGBC to offer this programme with support from the Green Building Factory.

There are many suggestions and various policies and actions to combat climate change and achieve decarbonization but how do we know which ones will be most beneficial?
For example, what will have the greater impact on emissions: increasing public transportation use or adapting the diet? How much will emissions reduce if we phase out coal by 2025? What impact will increasing heating and cooling efficiency have on total emissions?

Could you describe the project and its objectives?
The objectives of the NEWCOM project are twofold. First, we are supporting the development of training schemes for enabling construction workers and building professionals to build according to the nearly zero-energy building standard and second, we are preparing a basis for the mutual recognition of the developed training schemes.
