We believe, that what is most important for solving the urban challenges are the people driving positive change.

The SUSHI project stems from a holistic approach to facing common challenges that have already been identified in historic districts of six cities in five countries: Lisbon (PT), Valletta (MT), Savona (IT), Ptuj (SI), Nicosia (CY), and Sassari (IT). With the idea of sharing, the project will adopt a common structure to identify opportunities for innovation, which will accelerate the learning process and transform historic districts into sustainable and lively districts.

Additional activities will integrate the agenda of the Sustainable Energy Week exploring the city area, focusing on sustainable buildings and design studios.

The project “Energiewende twinning towns” is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and carried out by the Renewables Energies Agency and the Humboldt-Viadrina Governance Platform. It aims at deepening or initiating exchanges between cities or communities that intend to cooperate in the renewable energy field.
