Building Energy Performance under the EPBD: Taking Stock and Looking Forward

The Concerted Action EPBD is organising its annual Stakeholders meeting in Brussels on June 28, the last day of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), where it will launch the Book of National Reports 2012 containing the national reports describing the EPBD implementation in all the member states at the beginning of 2013.

The Concerted Action EPBD brings together the national authorities implementing this legislation, and other bodies appointed and entrusted by them to do so. It fosters exchange of information and experiences amongst representatives designated by all 27 Member States, plus Norway and Croatia.

 

After the formal presentation of the Book of National Reports 2012, two discussion panels will look at the progress in energy efficiency in buildings in the EU since the Energy Performance Buildings Directive (EPBD) was launched, comparing expectations to achievements and discussing steps needed to reach the goals stated for 2020:

 

Panel 1: Interactive panel discussion on Progress in Building Energy Efficiency in the EU under the EPBD – A view from the “Visionaries of the EPBD” and the market

 

Representatives from the European Commission, European Parliament and key market stakeholders

 


Panel 2: Interactive panel discussion looking Towards 2020 and Beyond – Driving market transformation: Vision, Challenges, Delivering the Potential

 

Representatives from public sector, NGOs, building industry, financing sector stakeholders.
