The H2020 Energy Efficiency Call closed on 10th September and received an impressive number of 352 proposals.

For one last time, under the Energy challenge of the Horizon 2020 programme, proposers were invited to submit their ideas to accelerate the market-uptake of energy efficiency solutions across Europe.

10 topics with a total budget of €64m were open in the areas of buildings, innovative financing, consumers, services,  public authorities and policy support. An impressive number of proposals were received, amounting to 759M €.

The proposals will be evaluated in the coming months and proposers should expect a notification about the outcome in January 2021.

From 2021 H2020 Energy Efficiency market-uptake activities will move to the new LIFE programme (2021-2027). A dedicated LIFE sub-programme Clean Energy Transition will aim at facilitating the transition toward an energy-efficient, renewable energy-based, climate-neutral and -resilient economy by funding coordination and support actions across Europe. We are planning to launch the first calls for proposals in early 2021.
