Friday 20 November 2020, 16:00-17:15 CET   Ventilation is recognized as a major element in strategies for minimizing the risk of COVID infection. REHVA and ASHRAE have developed guidelines taking existing evidence of long-range aerosol based transmission into account including the importance of ventilation.   This webinar will present the guidelines by REHVA and ASHRAE and will also have a closer look to the similarities and differences in both guidelines.

After careful consideration by the Steering Committee and from input by authors, ASHRAE and AIVC have decided to postpone the conference, which was initially scheduled for September 14-16, 2020 in Athens, Greece.   The IAQ 2020 conference is being postponed by one year to September 13-15, 2021 as a face-to-face conference in Athens, Greece.

ATLANTA – The 2017 edition of ASHRAE’s major thermal comfort standard has been published to incorporate seven published addenda to the 2013 edition.   ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 55-2017, Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, simplifies the language of the 2013 standard and clarifies the three comfort calculation approaches in Section 5.3.3, "Elevated Air Speed." The 2017 edition includes a new requirement to calculate the change in occupants' thermal comfort from direct solar radiation.
