Public and non residential buildings

The commercial (i.e. non-residential) buildings, public buildings and urban areas are the fastest growing energy consuming sectors and a key area where the CO2 reduction could be achieved in a cost-effective manner. This is mainly due to the growth of the service sector and urbanisation and their associated demand for heating, cooling ventilation (HVAC), ICT services, lighting, mobility, etc..

The Government has launched a consultation on the introduction of a “Future Homes Standard” for England, to be operable from 2025. There are to be proposed interim measures applicable from 2020. The aim is to ensure that new build homes in England will be future-proofed, with low carbon heating and world-leading levels of energy efficiency.

The grant will be implemented through KfW via financing agreements to be signed by the end of 2019. The period of implementation is four years.   It is expected that approximately 40 buildings will be renovated, while about 15% of the funds will be used for accompanying services, such as the implementation consultant, design work, supervision, detailed energy audits, and building energy certification, KfW told Balkan Green Energy News.

Reaching a height of 160 meters, the Paris Court covers an area of approximately 110,000 m² and accommodates up to 8,800 people per day.   The large rectangular atrium develops over the entire height of the base, up to 28 meters. This space is completed by two smaller atriums to the south and north, connected to the ground floor by a large longitudinal corridor through the entire base, from north to south, for 160 meters.
