We aspire a renovation rate increase for which we develop, test, evaluate, refine and demonstrate the most appropriate structural measures.

Over the past few years a new trend has been spreading in Europe. The concept of smart cities has gained momentum in connection with the sustainable development of urban areas and, hence, the life quality of their inhabitants.
By means of using digital technologies as a vector to increase the efficiency of a large number of urban functions and services, several solutions are being developed and tested in the fields of Energy Efficiency, Mobility and ICT.

This session will bring together experiences from four Horizon 2020 projects ( BIMplement , BIMCert , BIMeet , NetUBIEP ) working with BIM as a training tool and developing qualification frameworks in order to deliver a high quality performing built result.

The workshop will include three main sessions:
-Bringing solutions together: voluntary certification schemes and other integrated approaches in support of deep renovation of buildings
-Architects feedback on testing Level(s)
-Up-skilling the AEC industry to deliver high quality energy efficient retrofitting with BIM learning tools

With more than 80% of the heat delivered to buildings coming from obsolete, inefficient and polluting boilers, decarbonising this sector is crucial. A steep increase in the current 20% share of renewables in heating and cooling is required, together with improving the efficiencies of our heating and cooling systems, in order to achieve the Paris Agreement goals.
