The 4th edition of the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards is open to all Official Partners that have joined the Campaign from January 2009 onwards. An Official Partner of the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign is an ongoing, fully financed project implemented by public and/or private actor(s) in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, clean transport and/or bio-fuels.
The annual Awards Competition is an integral part of the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign. It provides an invaluable opportunity to highlight the successes of the most outstanding, ambitious and innovative programmes or actions and to reward those Sustainable Energy Partners most worthy of recognition and praise.
The Awards Ceremony helps publicise the objectives of the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign to the wider public. The winning projects will be promoted to the press and showcased as examples of excellence, inspiring energy actors outside the Campaign and providing models to guide and stimulate more recently established partnerships.
The deadline to participate in the Awards Competition 2010 is the 15th of December 2009.
The Sustainable Energy Europe Awards Competition comprises 5 categories:
1. Sustainable Energy Communities
2. Market Transformation including voluntary commitments
3. Promotional, communication and educational commitments
4. Demonstration and dissemination projects
5. Cooperation programmes
The winning projects will be handed the Award by the Commissioner for Energy at a prestigious Awards Ceremony which will be held in Brussels on the 23rd of March 2010 during the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2010.
