Built in 2019, the Eisbärhaus was designed as a passive building comprising two units. Building materials were selected according to guidelines provided by the Austrian environmental association Umweltverband Vorarlberger Gemeindehaus. All exterior walls consist of wooden timbers treated with cellulose to provide thermal insulation (layer thickness: 42cm).

The objective of COOL DH action is to support cities in their endeavor to plan and deploy new, efficient district heating and cooling (DHC) systems and extend, refurbish existing ones to higher standards. Thus allowing greater uptake of renewables, recovering of excess heat or cold while improving the overall efficiency of the systems.

During the National Congress of Sanitary Technologies on Monday, June 19th, a wide selection of current sanitation subjects will be discussed. One of these subjects is Reducing pressure fluctuations at the inlet of shower mixers. It is known that undesired variation in water temperature is uncomfortable and, by a fright reaction, can even be dangerous. By adapting the design of the tap water system we could solve temperature fluctuations in the shower.

Ovaj izvještaj francuske Udruge toplinske pumpe (AFPAC) tiče odluke toplinska pumpa za proizvodnju tople vode u kućanstvima. Ta rješenja se sada malo je poznat i malo korišten. U uvjetima kada je topla voda je postala problem dodatno smanjenje potrošnje energije baterije stambene jedinice, ovaj dokument ima za cilj da ideju sinteze sustava, kao i niz primjera gdje se oni koriste. Odluke, u kojima tople vode vrši se na razini svake stambene prostore (toplom vodom toplinskom pumpom) raspravlja, kao i centraliziranog rješenja i mješovita rješenja.

Commissioning of a boiler room is the process of assuring that all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, operated and maintained so that the awaited performance is reached. This document by Cegibat, the information center of the French gas distribution company GRDF (Gaz réseau distribution France), describes in 7 steps the commissioning of a boiler room, from the project design to the operation. “KAWKA” programme – Reducing air pollution by supporting an increase of energy efficiency and development of distributed renewable energy sources in Poland
The KAWKA programme aims to reduce air pollution caused by coal-fired systems in residential buildings. It is administered by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (WFOŚiGW).The programme was initiated in 2014 and is due to continue until 2020.
