The country’s solar industry is collecting signatures and writing incendiary letters to politicians to finally abolish the solar cap and thus save thousands of jobs.   According to the latest survey results of the German Solar Industry Association (BSW), the industry’s business expectation index has halved in just three months, and that’s not even due to the coronavirus.

The event is going to be organized in Istanbul / Turkey on 24-25 August 2020. Several universities and research centers from all over the world supports the event technically.

When the new grammar school building was erected in Diedorf, an ‘integrated design process’ was applied, demonstrating that it is possible to plan innovatively and sustainably and still ensure that available resources are used economically and sparingly throughout the entire life cycle of a building.

Can a building produce more energy than it consumes, exclusively from renewable sources? Certainly! This is demonstrated by the experience of Casa SN (named after its owners Sara and Nicola Berlanda) which has recently become the first building in Europe - and Italy - to be certified under the Zero Energy standard of the International Living Future Institute (ILFI).

Over the past few months, Swiss Renova has been renovating a multifamily structure dating back to 1963, in line with the passive housing standard. The Swiss construction company paid particular attention to sustainability and energy efficiency, with Balco Balkonkonstruktionen integrating 240 special solar modules into the building’s 96 balconies.

“The serious risks of climate change are at the heart of [citizens’] concerns,” the six countries write in reference to young people who have led the climate marches that have swept Europe for over a year. “As leaders, we have the responsibility to show the younger generation that they are being heard,” add the signatories, which include the energy and environment ministers of Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Spain.
