In the Concerted Action EPBD, we strive to support implementation of energy performance policies for buildings as much as possible, and we are looking for the most suitable and effective ways to communicate with relevant stakeholders. The GREiA research group (Research group in energy and artificial intelligence) of University of Lleida (Spain), is born from the union of the research group in energy GREA and the research group in artificial intelligence IA. The collaboration of these two groups begins in 2014. The general line of research that defines the activity of the group is to provide answers and solutions related to the fields of energy engineering, industrial and construction design, sustainability and artificial intelligence.

CEN-CE team organized under the leadership of REHVA the 2nd CEN-CE Stakeholders' Workshop on 4 November (10h00-12h30) during REHVA Brussels Summit (4-5 November) for enquiring, engaging and exploring synergies with key stakeholders across Europe about the CEN-CE training and certification scheme for identifying the best solution for the buildings sector in terms of EU-wide roll out strategy.

To support the professional execution of nearly zero-energy buildings new pilot “Train the Trainer” courses were implemented in Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands and Slovakia for flat roofer, ventilation installer and building inspection.

Besides energy efficiency, the new zero carbon standard also considers the upfront carbon emissions associated with the construction of the homes. It also encourages home builders to actually measure how the homes perform after they are purchased and lived in.

The EUA Energy & Environment Platform connects EUA members and partners who are active in energy and environment research, education and innovation and represents universities in EU energy and climate policy, in particular the Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan process. It aims to facilitate the full participation of European universities in energy- and environment-related EU programmes and to achieve the creation of the Energy Union and a sustainable energy future for Europe.
