This four-page BINE information paper presents an energy master plan for the campus of the Technische Universität Braunschweig, developed by an interdisciplinary research team. The researchers have created differentiated development scenarios (different options for action with regard to existing buildings, new-build schemes, space efficiency, energy provision and mobility) for the period up to 2020 with the aim of reducing the primary energy consumption by 40% and, in the long term, facilitating the conversion to renewable energy.
